The department has 3 wide-bore CT scanners, a dedicated HDR suite, and RayStation, TomoTherapy and CK planning systems.

Main Duties, Tasks & Skills Required

The post holder will participate primarily within the Treatment Planning and Mould Room sections of the radiotherapy department, and should have experience in 3DCRT and IMRT planning techniques. UHB currently delivers IMRT to 80% of radical patients. 4DCT and SABR techniques are in routine use for all current clinical indications, and a well developed adaptive planning service is in place. Participation in these services, clinical trials and in technical developments across the department would be expected.

Due to the nature of the role the post holder will be expected to work flexibly as the service requires, including participation in an on-call weekend rota for emergency patients.
