The role
Working closely with senior team members and the Partners, you'll deliver high-quality accounting and advisory services.
Day To Day You'll
- Prepare financial statements, management and annual accounts
- Prepare tax returns including GST, FBT and income tax
- Build budgets and cashflow forecasts for clients
- Work in Xero and other accounting software, including implementation projects
- Liaise directly with clients to answer queries and support engagements
- Identify issues and opportunities in your work and raise them with the relevant Partner
- Support and mentor junior team members
- A clear pathway to progress, with direct exposure to the Partners
- Strong mentoring and full CA support
- A varied client base across SME, trust, farming, Māori business, forestry and other regional businesses
- Genuine work-life balance

- CA ANZ qualified, or actively working towards it
- Minimum 4+ years' experience in a New Zealand CA, business advisory or professional services environment
- Experience managing a portfolio of New Zealand SME clients.
- Technically strong across NZ accounting and tax fundamentals
- Proficient in Xero and comfortable picking up new software
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- A confident communicator who enjoys working with clients
- A team player keen to build a long-term career in Northland
