The Opportunity

We are looking for a practical, safety-focused Operator / Electrician to join the Fixed Plant Maintenance team at the Coal Handling and Processing Plant (CHPP).

This is a varied, hands-on role combining plant operation with electrical support. You will help keep the CHPP running smoothly, respond to electrical issues and contribute to planned maintenance and shutdown work. Full training in CHPP operations will be provided by our experienced crew.

What You Will Be Doing

Operating and monitoring the CHPP to support safe, reliable production.
Responding to electrical faults and plant breakdowns.
Completing electrical maintenance during planned shutdowns.
Monitoring plant performance and identifying opportunities to improve reliability.
Working closely with a small, experienced crew where teamwork and flexibility matter.

What You Will Bring

New Zealand registration as an Electrician.
A strong commitment to safety and environmental best practice.
A practical, flexible approach and willingness to get involved across the plant.
The ability to work well in a close-knit team.
Mining experience, maintenance process knowledge or process-control experience would be a strong advantage.
