The Role:
Catalyx is seeking a Benchling ELN Implementation Consultant to support the deployment and enhancement of Benchling solutions within a global pharmaceutical R&D environment.
The consultant will work as part of a multidisciplinary project team supporting the configuration, testing, integration, and deployment of Benchling capabilities. Depending on experience, responsibilities may focus on one or more project workstreams including ELN configuration, data migration, system integration, validation support, or user enablement.
This role is ideal for an individual with hands-on Benchling experience who enjoys collaborating with scientists, business users, and technical teams to implement digital laboratory solutions.
Responsibilities:
Benchling Configuration
Configure Benchling ELN objects and templates.
Assist with notebook and experiment template creation.
Configure schemas, registries, inventory, and sample management.
Support workflow configuration.
Participate in system testing and defect resolution.
Business & Scientific Support
Work with business analysts and scientists to understand laboratory workflows.
Assist in translating requirements into Benchling configurations.
Support documentation of business and functional requirements.
System Integration
Support integration activities with laboratory and enterprise applications.
Assist with API testing and interface validation.
Participate in data migration activities where applicable.
Testing & Validation
Execute functional testing and user acceptance testing.
Support Computer System Validation (CSV) documentation.
Assist with issue tracking and resolution.
Deployment & Support
Support user training activities.
Assist during go-live and hypercare.
Help troubleshoot configuration issues.
Document configurations and procedures.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
2–5+ years of experience implementing scientific software in pharmaceutical or biotechnology environments.
Hands-on experience with the Benchling platform.
Experience supporting ELN implementations or laboratory digital transformation projects.
Understanding of pharmaceutical R&D workflows.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
