Summary

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with certificates of special qualification in hematology and/or medical oncology.An oncologist who specializes in bone marrow transplant or stem cell transplant for the treatment of people whose bone marrow or stem cells have been damaged by disease or the treatment of a disease or as a way to have the donor's immune system fight a blood disorder such as leukemia.For hematology, an internist with additional training who specializes in diseases of the blood, spleen and lymph glands. This specialist treats conditions such as anemia, clotting disorders, sickle cell disease, hemophilia, leukemia and lymphoma.For medical oncology, an internist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of all types of cancer and other benign and malignant tumors. This specialist decides on and administers chemotherapy for malignancy as well as consults with surgeons and radiotherapists on other treatments for cancer.Practices medicine within the scope of authority and privileges granted by Moffitt Cancer Center.As a Member of the Moffitt Medical Group, provides patient care and serves as a member of the academic medical enterprise.Spanning the clinical and research enterprise in support of patient care, research, and education, advances the Institutional mission of contributing to the prevention and cure of cancer.

Join Moffitt Cance Center’s Department of Malignant Hematology’s dynamic Myeloma Team as a Medical Oncologist supporting our outpatient clinic for the treatment and management of multiple myeloma patients with plasma cell disorders and inpatient hematologic malignancy service.

This specialist decides on and administers chemotherapy for malignancy as well as consults with surgeons and radiotherapists on other treatments for cancer. This role will be heavily engaged in clinical and translational research and collaborates closely with the bone marrow transplant and cellular immunology programs. As a Member of the Moffitt Medical Group, provides patient care and serves as a member of the academic medical enterprise. Spanning the clinical and research enterprise in support of patient care, research, and education, advances the Institutional mission of contributing to the prevention and cure of cancer.

The successful candidate will be an accomplished physician with a record of excellence in clinical care, research, and education within an academic medical center. Candidates should have experience in high-volume, multidisciplinary university-based practice settings and a demonstrated commitment to advancing clinical programs, education, and scholarship.

The Moffitt Cancer Center is affiliated with the University of South Florida. Primary and secondary University appointments are available, as applicable. Academic rank is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Requirements:

• MD/DO or equivalent
• Successful completion of an approved Fellowship in Hematology/Oncology
• Florida Medical License eligible
• Active BLS & ACLS Certification
• DEA License
• Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology or eligible

Salary Range

$328,952.00 - $409,925.88

Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
