Natural Habitat Adventures is seeking a driven, positive-attitude, detail-oriented Camp Assistant to join our Base Camp Greenland Field Team, as featured on our East Greenland Arctic Adventure beginning in June 2027.
The Camp Assistant supports daily camp operations—including housekeeping, meal prep, and general camp duties—to help provide an exceptional and safe experience for our guests in one of the most spectacula and remote places on Earth. Housekeeping, cleanliness, and guest-space readiness are a primary focus of this role.
This role reports to the Greenland Camp Manager.
SCHEDULING & LOCATION
This is a field-based, seasonal contract position from mid-June to mid-September. Base Camp Greenland is located on a remote island with no independent travel options.
While your hours will vary from day to day, it is certain that you will need to work long hours every day (including some very early mornings and late evenings) in order to
accomplish our goal of ultimate customer service.
To comply with Greenland’s tourism regulations, only applicants who are legally authorized to work in Greenland without requiring a work permit (citizens of Greenland, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, or Sweden) will be considered.

- Participate in shared dishwashing duties and help keep dining areas clean and organized.
- Manage and restock hot drink stations; deliver hot water to cabins in the mornings and hot water bottles in the evenings.
- Assist with meal service as needed, including table setup**.**
- Assist the Camp Manager with guest needs, Signature Experience setups, and general group support throughout the day.
- Support camp logistics as needed, including carrying luggage, unloading incoming shipments, coordinating laundry needs, and keeping storage areas tidy.
- Contribute to end-of-season breakdown, proper storage, and inventory reconciliation.
- Other duties determined by the Camp Manager to keep camp running and deliver a remarkable guest experience.
- Work with on-site staff to learn and uphold all safety procedures, including polar bear safety, first aid, and emergency response.

- Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and comfort.
- 1–2 years of housekeeping experience preferred.

- Experience living and working in remote areas for extended periods; previous
Arctic experience preferred but not required.
- Positive communicator with the ability to work effectively on a team.
- Ability to follow pre-determined checklists.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and complete tasks efficiently.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and comfortably perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, and bending throughout the day.
- Commitment to providing a warm, elevated guest experience grounded in community, sustainability, and teamwork.
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
- Required certifications: Basic First Aid (WFA or WFR preferred), CPR, and Food Handler’s.
