Department: MG - SPEC - CARDIOTHORACIC SUR Job Summary Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our surgical team. This full-time, hospital-employed position offers the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team that is committed to delivering exceptional surgical care and improving patient outcomes. The selected physician will be joining two full-time, experienced cardiothoracic surgeons, providing a strong foundation of clinical expertise, mentorship, and collaborative support within the program. Position Highlights Competitive Compensation & Benefits Package Guaranteed Base Salary: $725,000-$900,000 Sign-on bonus up to $150,000 $50,000 fellowship stipend Relocation reimbursement up to $25,000 Continued Medical Education time and reimbursement 250 cases per year covering Cardiac Surgery only 1 in 3 call 24 hour in house dedicated PA/NP coverage Dedicated CT ICU Positive work environment with a supportive and collaborative team EPIC EMR with Provider Support team Great opportunity for recent graduates Education/Experience Requirements REQUIRED: Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) and successful completion of a residency and internship. Experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified, which may include residency in a directly related medical specialty. Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care. Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards. Knowledge of community medical diagnostic and patient care services in area of medical expertise. Ability to supervise, advise, and train clinical professionals and/or students in area of expertise. Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patients in correct usage. Ability to develop and present educational programs and/or workshops. Knowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment in area of expertise. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements. Ability to observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
