Job Description
Full-Time Chef Assistant Wanted – Whanganui
A local kebab outlet in Whanganui is looking for a Full-Time Chef Assistant to join their team!
Your main duties will include:
Gathering and preparing ingredients for kebabs and other menu items
Assisting the chef with basic cooking tasks and food presentation
Cleaning work areas, equipment, and utensils following health & safety standards
Providing great customer service, including handling cash and EFTPOS transactions when needed

What we’re looking for:
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Chef Assistant or Kitchen Hand
Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations
Able to follow hygiene, health, and food safety standards
Physically fit – able to lift and stand for long periods
Flexible to work shifts (including evenings, weekends, and public holidays)
Good communication skills and a team player
Able to pass a police check and drug test
