Chief Business Officer

We are looking for a Chief Business Officer to join our fast-growing, innovative sport technology partner company currently in a dynamic scale-up phase. This is a key executive leadership role within an approximately 80-person organization, reporting directly to the CEO.

As CBO, you will be responsible for leading and aligning both the Marketing and Sales functions, while playing a strategic role in the company’s next stage of growth and commercial expansion. Beyond team leadership, the position offers significant influence over go-to-market strategy, revenue growth, and the overall business direction of the company.

The office is located in Szeged, and since the leadership team values in-person collaboration, we are looking for someone who is comfortable working onsite 2 days per week.

For candidates relocating from another city, our partner provides relocation support.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and align the Sales and Marketing teams, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations while driving long-term business growth objectives.
  
• Develop and execute the company’s commercial and go-to-market strategy in close collaboration with the CEO and management team.
  
• Establish scalable internal processes and performance metrics to improve operational efficiency and business performance.
  
• Act as a hands-on leader who is comfortable balancing strategic decision-making with operational execution, actively supporting teams in fast-paced growth environments.
  

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of relevant leadership experience
  
• Proven experience in international markets, with a strong understanding of commercial growth and go-to-market strategies.
  
• Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to communicate confidently and professionally in diverse international business environments.
  
• Broad business perspective gained across multiple industries, enabling adaptability and strategic thinking in a fast-paced environment.
  
• Hands-on experience in building teams, establishing scalable processes, and supporting organizational growth, preferably within a scale-up or high-growth company environment.
