Chief Executive Officer — Film & Production Equipment Rental

We’re looking for a Chief Executive Officer to lead the strategy, commercial growth and overall performance of our film and production equipment rental business.

You’ll work with the leadership team, shareholders and key industry partners to build a commercially sound business serving film, television, advertising and corporate production clients.

Your leadership remit

Define the company’s long-term strategy, market positioning and annual business priorities.

Take accountability for revenue, profitability, cash flow and overall organisational performance.

Build and develop the leadership team, establishing clear responsibilities and performance expectations across commercial, operational, technical and financial functions.

Allocate capital across equipment investment, operational capacity and market expansion, balancing growth opportunities with financial discipline.

Lead strategic customer relationships, major commercial negotiations and partnerships that support long-term business growth.

Set company-wide service standards and hold operational leaders accountable for equipment readiness, dependable delivery, maintenance and customer support.

Oversee pricing strategy, equipment utilisation and asset lifecycle planning to support sustainable returns.

Identify and evaluate opportunities for new locations, service offerings and strategic partnerships across Germany and the wider European market.

Ensure effective governance, financial controls and risk management, with clear reporting to shareholders or the board.

The experience we value

Senior executive or general management experience in film equipment rental, professional audiovisual services, production services or a closely related business.

A demonstrated record of full profit-and-loss responsibility, leadership team development and sustainable business growth is essential.

You should bring sound commercial judgement, experience allocating capital and the ability to translate strategy into measurable operating results.

Existing relationships within Germany’s film and production community, particularly in North Rhine-Westphalia, would provide a strong foundation. The ability to build strategic relationships across the wider European market would also be valuable.

An understanding of camera, lens, lighting, grip and sound equipment rental economics is important, alongside strong financial management, negotiation and executive communication skills.

Fluency in both German and English, spoken and written, is required. You must be comfortable leading teams, conducting commercial negotiations and communicating with shareholders and business partners in both languages.

Executive package

Fixed remuneration with a performance component linked to agreed profitability, cash flow, sustainable growth and service performance objectives.

Proposed support includes relocation or housing assistance, a company vehicle or vehicle allowance, and business travel support. Final arrangements will reflect the agreed responsibilities and employment terms.
