Overview: A prominent regional healthcare system, is seeking an experienced Chief of Pulmonary Medicine to lead its pediatric pulmonary department in Philadelphia, PA. This integrated healthcare network serves communities across multiple counties, providing high-quality and compassionate care. This role supports a well-established facility committed to academic medicine and dedicated to training the next generation of healthcare professionals through various residency and fellowship programs. Position Summary: As the Chief of Pulmonary Medicine , you will direct the clinical and operational activities of the pediatric pulmonary department. This leadership role involves managing clinical coverage, developing departmental strategy, and leading initiatives for program enhancement, quality improvement, and staff mentorship. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in pediatric pulmonary care along with a background in leadership and strategic planning. This role is a unique opportunity to significantly impact pediatric healthcare in a facility that has been a trusted provider of children's health for over a century. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Oversight : Manage daily clinical operations, including physician and nurse practitioner staffing, and provide direct patient care within the pulmonary practice. Department Leadership : Set the vision and direction for the department, aligning with the facility's mission to advance patient-centered care for the community. Operational Management : Develop and implement departmental policies, mentor clinical staff, and ensure smooth operational workflows. Program Development : Lead initiatives in quality improvement, support educational programs, and play a key role in recruiting clinical staff to grow the department. Community Engagement : Actively contribute to the organization's commitment to patient-centered, high-quality pediatric care. Position Highlights: Leadership in a well-established healthcare environment focused on pediatric care. Benefits: Competitive Compensation : Base salary range of $300,000 to $320,000. Visa Support : H1B Visa & Green Card support is available. Qualifications: MD or DO with an active and unrestricted medical license in Pennsylvania. Completed ACGME-accredited Pediatric Residency and Pediatric Pulmonary Fellowship. Board Certified in Pediatrics. At least 5 years of clinical experience in an outpatient pediatric pulmonary setting. Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role with experience in practice management and change management. Candidate Details: Experience Level : Mid-Senior, 2+ to 5 years of leadership experience preferred. Education : Doctorate Degree in Medicine. Travel Requirement : None.
