Chief of Staff

The role Credit is the difference between a business that grows and one that doesn't, a family that absorbs a shock and one that doesn't. Kita operates across the US, the Philippines, Mexico, Indonesia, and South Africa. This role is how that stays coherent. You'll work directly with Carmel and Rhea, our founders, and own the machinery that keeps a company running across five countries: operations, legal, tax, HR, finance, compliance. The unglamorous things that decide whether a company at our stage compounds or stalls. If you're based in Manila, you also own our relationships on the ground in one of our most important markets: in front of lenders, at partner offices, in regulator conversations, representing Kita in the room. What you'll do Run operations end to end. The systems, the vendors, the cadence, the things nobody has built yet Own legal and tax across our entities and markets. Contracts, entity structure, filings, and the counsel relationships that go with them Own HR. Hiring pipeline, onboarding, comp, policy, and the culture work that comes with growing fast in two hemispheres Run the operating cadence: goals, metrics, weekly reviews, board reporting Own on-the-ground relationships. Customers, partners, regulators, and local hiring, especially if you're in Manila Be the founders' leverage. Prep, follow-through, decision memos, and the judgment to handle things without asking Always be optimizing. Find the thing costing us time or money, fix it, and make sure it stays fixed What we're looking for Founder types. You've started something, run something, or been the person a company depended on. What we care about is what you've owned and what happened AI-forward. You use these tools constantly and instinctively reach for them to do the work of a much larger team. This is not a nice-to-have here Genuinely sharp. Build a model, catch the error in someone else's, explain the answer in plain English Well versed on the industry, or hungry enough to be within a month. Lending, credit, and fintech across the US and emerging markets is the world you'll be operating in Learns fast and moves. Expanding access to credit globally is the reason this job exists We don't have a years-of-experience requirement. Show us what you've owned. Nice to have Lending, banking, or fintech experience, in the US or an emerging market Philippine market knowledge and network Tagalog and English fluency Why this one Chief of Staff roles are usually a proxy for someone else's authority.
