Chief Operating Officer / Integrator
Columbus, OH (on-site)
Compensation: $175K to $200K base + up to 40% bonus | Employee owned | Relocation assistance
Tired of having the COO title but not the impact?
Emerald Resource Group is partnering with a premium, niche product manufacturer in Columbus to hire its first COO/Integrator. The CEO has been running both seats and is ready to hand off the day to day. This is a true #2 role: you’ll own the P&L, lead the leadership team, and run the business while the CEO focuses on vision.
The company is a $25M+ manufacturer and distributor with about 50 employees, a direct sales team, and products considered the standard in its market. It’s in a deliberate growth phase, with new channels, product innovation, and direct-to-consumer on the way, and a plan to keep growing 10 to 15% a year.
It runs on EOS, and you’ll be the Integrator who makes the vision happen.
What you’ll do
- Run the weekly L10 leadership meeting and own the company scorecard
- Lead the Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance leaders and hold them accountable week to week
- Own the full P&L: revenue by channel, margin by product line, cost by department
- Own forecasting and find cost savings across the business
- Take a hard look at existing processes, figure out why they work the way they do, and modernize what’s outdated
- Translate the CEO’s vision into annual plans, quarterly Rocks, and 90-day priorities
- Sequence and resource growth initiatives, including a new channel launch and an operations buildout
- Build the systems and playbooks that let the company scale (CRM, ERP, reporting)
- Partner with the CEO on hiring and org structure as the team grows
What you bring
- Experience as a #2 (COO, President, GM) at a $20M to $60M company
- Full P&L ownership, not just supporting the CFO, with finance chops strong enough to challenge the numbers
- A track record of scaling a business and building infrastructure that outlasted you
- Working knowledge of EOS/Traction and belief in the discipline
- Experience leading director-level leaders
- Background in a product-based business with physical inventory, ideally B2B or B2B2C
- Exposure to multi-channel sales (direct, wholesale, ecommerce, project-based)
- A methodical, data-first approach: you dig in and understand before you change things
Why this role
- A CEO who wants a thought partner, not a yes person
- A premium brand with a strong market position and a clear growth plan
- Bonus potential of up to 20% tied to annual KPIs, plus up to 20% discretionary
- Employee-owned company, so you share in what you build
- Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits
