Ideal Candidate: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent. Boarded or residency-trained specialists are preferred. Active veterinary license in the state of TN is preferred, but not required, licensure fees will be covered. Ideally, 5+ years of ER Veterinary Medicine practice experience. Prior Medical Director experience. Currently holds federal DEA licenses or eligible to obtain upon hire. Proficiency in internal medicine, diagnostics, surgery and emergency care. Passionate about building and fostering a strong team. Positive and effective leadership. Ability to manage staff and outcomes with emotional intelligence. Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics. Delegation of tasks and achieving results with practice team members. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
