Clinical Deployment Specialist

You'll own the clinical side of every deployment, from workflow discovery to a reviewer team that trusts the tool.

This role is for someone who has done utilization review themselves and knows that job aids rarely match how reviewers actually decide cases. You are the clinical bridge between frontline reviewers and clinicians, our client teams, and our engineering team. A client owner handles logistics, rosters and scheduling; you own the clinical content and judgment.

You report to our Head of Clinical Strategy & Operations. This role is on site in our San Francisco office, 5 days a week, with occasional travel to client sites.

You will:

  • Lead clinical readiness for go-lives: workflow discovery, reviewer and superuser readiness, and clinical blockers
  • Turn clinical criteria and reviewers' unwritten practice into clear, maintainable job aids and code to criteria crosswalks
  • Build the clinical content of training, run small group refreshers by case type, and train each client's trainers to own it
  • Shadow reviewers and review live cases to find where practice, job aids and the product differ
  • Write clear tickets and bring clinician requests to product and engineering with clinical context
  • Use QA results, match rates and reviewer level productivity to find adoption barriers and coach reviewers who struggle
  • Present job aid status, metrics, tickets and go-live timelines in weekly client meetings
  • Work directly with our Head of Clinical Strategy & Operations on how we deploy and scale clinically

  • You are:

    • You hold an active, unrestricted clinical license, such as RN, NP, PA, or DO/MD
    • You have 3+ years of clinical experience, including 2+ years in utilization management, prior authorization or concurrent review
    • You know clinical criteria such as InterQual, MCG or state Medicaid guidelines from hands-on use
    • You have trained or precepted clinicians, and written or maintained clinical documentation
    • You stay clear and calm with clients and executives, especially when a deployment is under pressure
    • You give engineers clear product feedback and pick up new technology fast

Bonus if you have reviewed across DME, home health, behavioral health, hospice and inpatient; worked at a health plan, TPA or UM vendor serving Medicaid programs; or done clinical informatics, implementation, QA audit or startup work.
