Clinical Faculty Position, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist – Department of Pediatric Medicine

We have a unique opportunity for a highly motivated, board-certified (or eligible) Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Faculty Member. The Division of Psychiatry , within the Department of Pediatric Medicine , works in close coordination with a skilled psychosocial team including psychology, neuropsychology, social work, child life, music therapy, and pastoral care. Our practice focuses on ensuring children diagnosed with cancer or other life-threatening illnesses can receive treatment while minimizing distress and potential psychiatric effects related to their disease or its treatment. The Division of Psychiatry coordinates our care with world-renowned oncologists, hematologists, infectious disease experts, and other leaders in their field. We are active in education, quality improvement, and are developing research that will further inform our care and our field. About the Psychiatry Division Works with children, adolescents, and young adults with complex medical conditions, including oncologic, hematologic, and infectious diseases Located within a medical center that includes both inpatient and outpatient care within the same hospital complex. This allows flexibility to see patients who may require unexpected medical hospitalization simply by walking from the psychiatry clinic to the inpatient setting (a <5-minute walk, indoors) Collaborates and receive support from a well-developed psychosocial team including psychologists, neuropsychologists, social workers, case managers, spiritual care, child life, and others.
