⭐Hey- Do you know Arkadia Space?🪐

Arkadia Space is an European company specializing in space propulsion, headquartered in Castellón, Spain. We develop innovative green propulsion systems for the in-space market. Our systems are already flying, and we are scaling rapidly.

We design, build and test real hardware contributing to some of Europe’s most inspiring space programmes.

👨‍🚀About the Position🛰️

We're looking for a Configuration Controller to join our team and help us maintain the consistency, accuracy and traceability of our propulsion systems throughout their entire lifecycle.

In this role, you'll support the day-to-day management of product configurations, engineering changes and technical documentation, ensuring that the information used across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Testing is accurate, up to date and properly controlled.

You'll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to keep track of product versions, approved changes and hardware configurations, helping us maintain a clear connection between what we design, what we manufacture and what we test.

As Arkadia continues to grow, you'll also contribute to improving our configuration management processes and tools, supporting the development and production of reliable space propulsion systems.

You'll be doing:

  • Maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), product structures, part numbering and associated technical records.
  • Ensure traceability between engineering designs, manufacturing documentation and as-built and as-tested hardware configurations.
  • Maintain and control product configurations, technical documentation and configuration baselines throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Support the engineering change control process, managing change requests, change orders, deviations and waivers, and tracking their review, approval and implementation.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Testing teams to ensure approved changes are correctly documented and communicated.
  • Support configuration reviews, audits and project documentation requirements, ensuring records are complete, accurate and accessible.
  • Contribute to the improvement of configuration management procedures, workflows and product data management tools.

What you'll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Previous experience in configuration control, technical documentation, engineering change management or a related engineering or manufacturing role.
  • Understanding of configuration management principles, Bills of Materials (BOMs), product structures and engineering change processes.
  • Experience working with PLM, PDM, ERP or similar technical documentation and data management tools (preference to Odoo ERP and Teamcenter PLM)
  • Experience working with CAD (preference to Siemens NX).
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and a structured approach to managing technical information.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary technical teams.
  • Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Nice to have
  • Experience in the aerospace, space, defence or other hardware-intensive industries.
  • Familiarity with configuration management standards, such as ECSS-M-ST-40 or EIA-649.
  • Experience with engineering and manufacturing Bills of Materials (EBOM/MBOM).
  • Knowledge of engineering change control processes, including ECRs, ECOs, deviations and waivers.
  • Experience supporting configuration audits or Change Control Boards (CCBs).
  • Familiarity with hardware traceability across design, manufacturing and testing activities.
  • Experience working in a fast-growing engineering or manufacturing environment.

Why Arkadia?

Because here you will:

  • Work alongside a passionate and highly skilled space team.
  • Contribute directly to the development and production of real space propulsion hardware.
  • Gain visibility across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Testing activities.
  • Help improve the processes and tools that support our growing operations.
  • Enjoy flexibility and a collaborative atmosphere.
  • Benefit from up to 8 days of remote work per month.
  • Receive onboarding and accommodation support if relocating.
  • Benefit from the facilities and ecosystem of the university campus where we are based.
  • Have access to a flexible remuneration plan.
