Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you’ll support complex construction efforts across the Midwest, including rail transit, bridges, and industrial projects. This is a unique opportunity to work on the temporary works and construction engineering side — solving real-time challenges, supporting field execution, and seeing your designs come to life in the field. What You’ll Work On In this role, you’ll be involved in a wide range of construction engineering challenges, including: Design falsework for temporary structure support Design temporary bridges for construction access Design hydraulic systems for vertical / horizontal travel Design cofferdams and other soil retention systems Bridge analysis for construction equipment and demolition procedures Bridge analysis for steel/concrete beam erection stability Wood/steel formwork design for concrete slabs and walls Analysis of lifting equipment (hoists and rigging) Analysis and design of safety systems Analysis for barge stability under construction equipment loading Provide clear construction and shop drawings using CAD Why This Role Stands Out Work on the “how it gets built” side of engineering, not just theoretical design Gain exposure to field-driven problem solving and construction execution Be part of a team that supports complex, high-impact infrastructure projects Opportunity to learn directly from experienced engineers and construction leaders See your work implemented in real time on active job sites What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field Interest in construction engineering, structural design, or temporary works Strong communication skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn Recent graduates are encouraged to apply — this is an excellent opportunity to launch your career in a specialized and highly valuable area of engineering.
