About Mondelēz International
Mondelēz International is a global snacking leader with iconic brands such as Cadbury, Oreo, Toblerone, Ritz, and belVita. We empower people to snack right in over 150 countries, driven by purpose and powered by creativity, data, and technology.
Role Purpose:
The Media Manager will lead end-to-end media strategy, planning, and performance across both digital and traditional channels for the India region portfolio. This role acts as the central connection point between brand teams, media agencies, and platform partners — ensuring media investments drive measurable business outcomes while upholding Mondelēz’s standards for brand safety, efficiency, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Media Strategy & Planning
- Own the development and execution of integrated media strategies spanning TV, print, OOH, radio, digital display, video, social, programmatic, search, e-commerce media, and emerging channels.
- Translate brand and business objectives into media briefs, channel plans, and investment frameworks that maximize reach, relevance, and ROI.
- Lead annual and campaign-level media planning in partnership with brand teams and agency partners.
Agency & Partner Management
- Serve as the primary interface with the media agency of record — managing briefings, plan reviews, performance tracking, and continuous optimization.
- Evaluate agency deliverables against agreed KPIs, SLAs, and Mondelēz global media standards.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key media owners, tech platforms (Google, Meta, Amazon, etc.), and measurement partners.
Digital Media & Performance Marketing
- Drive digital media agenda - programmatic, paid social, search, influencer media and understanding of e-commerce media.
- Champion adoption of precision marketing, audience-first planning, and data-driven media buying.
- Lead digital capability building within the marketing team and ensure best-in-class digital execution.
Traditional Media Excellence
- Ensure effectiveness and efficiency of traditional media investments (TV, print, OOH, radio) through robust planning, negotiation oversight, and post-buy analysis.
- Bring rigor to reach/frequency optimization and cross-channel integration.
Measurement, Analytics & Optimization
- Establish and monitor media KPIs across the funnel — awareness, consideration, conversion, and ROAS.
- Drive adoption of MMM (Media Mix Modelling), attribution, brand lift studies, and viewability standards.
- Own post-campaign analysis and translate insights into actionable recommendations for future planning.
Budget & Investment Management
- Manage the media investment budget; ensure transparent tracking, reconciliation, and efficiency targets are met.
- Identify savings opportunities through smarter buying, in-housing, and technology leverage.
Innovation & Best Practices
- Stay ahead of media trends, platform innovations, ad-tech developments, and competitive activity.
- Pilot new formats, channels, and partnerships; share learnings across brands and markets.
- Contribute to Mondelēz global/regional media communities of practice.
Qualifications & Experience:
Must-Have
- 10+ years of experience in media planning, buying, and strategy across both digital and traditional channels.
- Proven experience on both media agency and client (advertiser) side — understanding of both perspectives is essential.
- Strong background in FMCG / CPG companies or FMCG client portfolios.
- Deep hands-on expertise in digital media - programmatic, paid social, search, video, and e-commerce media.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large media budgets (multi-million USD/INR) and deliver measurable ROI improvements.
- Experience managing and evaluating media agency partners end to end.
- Strong analytical skills with fluency in media metrics, measurement frameworks, and tools (e.g., Nielsen, ComScore, Google Analytics, DV360, Meta Business Suite, MMM outputs).
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. MBA preferred.
Good-to-Have
- Experience with global FMCG organizations.
- Exposure to retail media networks (Amazon Ads, Flipkart Ads, etc.).
- Familiarity with ad-tech stack evaluation, and data clean rooms.
- Experience in multi-market or regional media roles.
