Contractors Representative / Project Director

Location: Regional Western Australia

Project: Circa $200M+ Defence project

Duration: Approximately 2 years

• Senior project leadership role with full responsibility for the delivery of a complex $200M+ Defence construction project, reporting directly to Senior Management.
• Requires an experienced Tier 1/2 Principal Contractor leader with at least 10 years' post-graduate experience, including proven Defence project delivery and management of projects valued above $100M.
• Responsible for overall program, commercial and financial performance, productivity, safety, compliance, procurement, forecasting and construction methodology.
• Strong leadership focus, including building and mentoring the project team, managing resources, driving team integration and ensuring the program achieves key project objectives.
• Requires a Construction Management or Engineering qualification, strong commercial acumen, excellent stakeholder and communication skills, and demonstrated ability to lead major complex projects.
• Must be an Australian citizen and capable of obtaining the required government security clearance.
• Employer is an established Australian-owned principal contractor with 40+ years' experience, Defence Infrastructure Panel appointment and a strong position within Australia's Defence contracting sector.

Ideal Candidate

A seasoned Project Director / Construction Director / Contractors Representative currently operating within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 principal contractor, with a successful track record delivering $100M+ Defence or similarly complex government infrastructure projects and the commercial, contractual and leadership capability to take complete ownership of a major project.
