Contracts Administrator

Due to our expanding project portfolio across Far North Queensland, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Contracts Administrator to join our Cairns-based team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of a diverse range of commercial construction projects while contributing to the ongoing expansion of our presence in the region.

Working closely with the Project Manager and site teams, you will be responsible for supporting project delivery through effective contract administration, cost management, procurement, subcontractor engagement, and project reporting. Your contribution will help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably while maintaining the high standards our clients have come to expect from GFG Projects.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• Practical experience in a Contracts Administrator role within the commercial construction industry, particularly on projects valued up to $20 million.
• Experience managing subcontractors and administering contracts, supported by a strong understanding of commercial contracts and BCIPA legislation.
• Advanced knowledge of project management or job costing software such as Jobpac (or similar platforms).
• Proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A proven ability to build strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach to project delivery.
