Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and technically sound Machine Seibi / Controls Specialist to join our team. This role is hands-on and critical to our vehicle manufacturing operations, focusing on online/offline robot and PLC programming, equipment installation, and shop-floor troubleshooting.
This position offers incredible growth and global exposure, featuring a high volume of structured overtime (70%) and 50% domestic and international travel to support multi-site equipment installations and standard rollouts.
Key Responsibilities
· Programming & Controls: Perform online and offline programming for manufacturing robots and PLC systems.
· Equipment Installation: Oversee the installation, setup, and rigorous quality/safety confirmation of new body weld machinery and model changes.
· Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex electrical control systems issues directly on the production shop floor.
· Standardization & Training: Learn strict engineering standards, set up specialized equipment, and train local maintenance teams through the Start of Production (SOP) phase.
· Cross-Plant Support: Provide heavy project support across various North American manufacturing facilities.
Qualifications & Requirements
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or equivalent hands-on industry experience.
· Technical Skills: Strong interest or proven experience in PLC programming, robotics, and electrical control systems.
· Environment: Comfortable working directly on a fast-paced manufacturing shop floor.
· Attributes: Eager to learn complex engineering standards, adaptable to frequent travel, and possesses strong technical communication skills to train others.
