Job Posting Date: 29 May 2026 Function: Location: Rigger/Crane Operator – Asset Management Team Location: Port Pirie, South Australia | Roster: 5/4 Days Only Nyrstar Port Pirie is seeking a Rigger/Crane Operator to join our Asset Management team. This is your chance to take on an exciting, community-focused role that ensures the safety and efficiency of our site operations. This residential position offers a 5/4 equal-time roster (4 days on/5 off, 5 on/4 off, 5 on/5 off), ensuring you enjoy more time off than the standard weekend – including two full weekends off every month. What We Offer: ✅ 5 weeks annual leave ✅ Competitive salary in a regional location (2.5 hrs from Adelaide) ✅ Health, dental & gym discounts ✅ Paid parental & maternity leave ✅ Relocation package – $5k allowance + temporary accommodation ✅ Career growth with on-the-job training & education assistance Qualifications/Skills/Experience: Essential Current valid intermediate rigging (RI) licence or willing to obtain Current valid non slewing crane (CN) licence Current valid elevated work platform (WP) licence Current valid forklift (LF) licence Current valid bridge & Gantry crane (CB) licence Desirable Current valid tower crane operators (CT) licence Current valid Scissor Lift Yellow Card licence Experience in a mining/resources industry or similar Experience in mobile crane operations 5 years or more demonstrated rigging experience Key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to: Perform rigging and crane operations under the HRL terms and conditions. Performing lifting work to assist the maintenance teams with their work. Performing mobile and tower crane operation tasks as per a CN and CT licence. Work in a safe and confident manner and comply with all the Site Safety Procedures.
