We’re looking for a collaborative, compassionate professional with a passion for supporting individuals experiencing behavioral health crises and a commitment to person-centered care. Join us as a Crisis Clinician and provide timely crisis assessment, risk assessment, intervention, de-escalation, stabilization, safety planning, and disposition in our Behavioral Health Crisis Walk-In/Urgent Care setting. You will assess behavioral health, substance use, medical, safety, social, and functional needs and connect individuals with the least restrictive, clinically appropriate level of care. You will collaborate with psychiatric providers, the Crisis Lead, Mobile Crisis Team, hospitals, emergency departments, JAMHI treatment teams, and community partners to coordinate referrals, warm handoffs, follow-up care, and other supports. Additional responsibilities include short-term stabilization services, identifying barriers to care, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, participating in interdisciplinary consultation, and contributing to quality improvement, training, and crisis program development. Minimum Qualifications : Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or another behavioral health discipline appropriate to the role. Active Alaska state licensure or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment One year of experience in crisis intervention, suicide risk assessment, de-escalation, trauma-informed care, and behavioral health assessment. Preferred Qualifications : Tagalog or Spanish language proficiency Pay rates offered are determined based on a standardized scale that considers relevant experience and education. NHSC Loan Repayment Eligible LCSW, LMFT, and LPC candidates may be eligible for the NHSC Loan Repayment Program , offering up to $50,000 in qualifying student loan repayment for a two-year service commitment. Awards are made by HRSA, and clinicians apply directly. Our organization is an NHSC-approved site and provides required employment verification.
