Salary: $33.00 Annually The Critical Facility Technician LOCATED IN RAYVILLE LOUISIANA (Relocation Assistance Available) – Mechanical Lead serves as the lead mechanical journeyperson , providing technical leadership and guidance while working alongside onsite Critical Facility Engineers. The Mechanical Lead is responsible for ensuring the overall reliability, performance, and operational health of all critical mechanical infrastructure within the data center environment. This includes oversight of mechanical system installation , acceptance testing, and advanced technical support for site operations. The Mechanical Lead leverages extensive hands-on experience to install mechanical systems, mentor, train, and develop technical staff, ensuring technicians possess the skills necessary to safely diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex mechanical system issues. En s ure new l y built s ys t ems m e et design in t ent and per f o r m without issue duri n g the f a cil i ty ac c eptance testing pha s es. R e view c onstruct i on eq u i p m en t submittals, c ommiss i oning pla n s and identify p ote n tial deficienci e s. • Responsible for conducting and/or o ver s eei n g pr e ven t ative m ai n tenance o n r eg u lar mechanica l , air h andlers, HVAC, plumbing sy st e ms, and p eriodic testing of t h e equi pm ent • Utilize established programs and procedures to maximize equipment operability and efficie n c y whi l e minimizing life c y cle c o s ts. • Understand potential equi p ment f ai lu res and p r ovide full tech n ical support to Operations te a ms in t h e e vent of a crit i cal s y s t e m failure. • Perform Root-Cause Failure Analysis and facilita t e c o r rect i ve a c tion. • Validate mai n tenan c e per f ormance b y analyzi n g t r e n ds, o per a tional hi s to r y, and maintenan c e data. • Provide at request guidance and technical support to Facility Operators. • Represent the o p e rat i on depart m ent in p r oje c t m e et i n gs as needed. • Establish and review project objectives, polic i es, p r oc e d u res (MO P , S O P, and E OP ) and perfo r mance standar d s wi t hin boundaries o f c ompa n y policies. Put the s e in c l ear concise work st a t e ment for the f i e l d . F o ll o w S O Ps and MOPs a nd o ther w ork p r ocedur e s p recisely • Directly work with assigned technicians in all aspe c ts of day - to-d a y o perations and m ainte n an c e of all el e ctrical crit i cal faci l i t y e q ui p ment. • Ensure Site Teams are p r of i cient s yst e m o pe r ation and mai nt enance tech n i q ues. • Provides direct i on and tra i ni n g to le s s e xperie nc ed O &M Sp e cialist s . • On-call to res p o nd t o e m e r g ency situ a tions at the da t a ce nt er. Perform pr e vent a ti v e t e sts a n d analyze data to ensure the p r oper funct i oning of all installed mechanical components • Performs unsched u led ma i nte n ance t asks and res p onse t o req u ests on a reg u lar basis, i n cl u di n g assessing t h e n a tu re of the emerge n c y, d e t e rmini n g a sol u ti o n to pr e v e n t further da m age or p r obl e ms, and i dentifyi n g the re s o urces n e eds t o re s o l ve the p r obl e m • Be responsible for ens u ri n g the rel i a b ility and s afe t y of the data cen t er sys t ems b y m o n i toring, oper a ti n g, and mai n taini n g, Data c enter s y st e ms and equi p ment • Work in c onjuncti o n with b uil d i n g ass o cia t es and thir d - p arty ven d o rs t o opti m i z e o perat i ons and energy efficie nc y • Work with ou t si d e ven d o rs on sc h ed u led mai n tenan c e on var i ous buil d i n g sys t e ms • Responsible for daily, weekly, monthly, and annual preventative m aintenance f o r d ata center Operat i ons, incl u di n g es c orti n g v en d ors w h ile on-site.
