Position Overview

The CT Technologist performs high-quality computed tomography examinations while ensuring patient safety, image quality, and exceptional patient care. This role also supports equipment proficiency, team collaboration, training, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform CT imaging procedures according to established protocols and safety standards.
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning throughout examinations.
  • Operate CT equipment safely and effectively while maintaining technical proficiency.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation.
  • Follow radiation safety practices and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor equipment performance and communicate maintenance or quality concerns.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care throughout the imaging process.
  • Participate in training, education, quality improvement, and departmental initiatives.
  • Maintain knowledge of current CT technology, protocols, and imaging best practices.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited or ARRT-approved Radiography Program
  • ARRT Registered or eligible to obtain
  • Florida Radiologic Technology License or eligible to obtain
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association or eligible to obtain
