Data Center Engineer

Work Location: 100% on-site Austin, TX (only local candidates will be considered)

Responsibilities

• 5+ years of experience in data center infrastructure support
• Hands-on experience with server deployments, hardware troubleshooting, break/fix work, cabling, rack-and-stack, and decommissioning
• Facilities Knowledge: Hands on understanding of data center physical infrastructure, specifically power feed distribution systems and cooling infrastructure (e.g., HVAC, liquid cooling, hot/cold aisle containment, air handling units).
• Experience maintaining operational documentation, including SOPs, MOPs, rack elevations, asset records, and troubleshooting guides
• Strong understanding of server hardware, Linux/Windows fundamentals, power, cooling, and network infrastructure
• Experience with inventory management, audits, ticketing systems, and change management
• Ability to troubleshoot issues independently and document findings clearly
• Strong attention to detail and experience working in large-scale data center environments
• Plus Bare-Metal & Hardware Expertise: Deep hands-on experience troubleshooting, provisioning, and managing enterprise power, bare-metal hardware and server architectures.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is highly preferred.

Required Skills

• Scripting or automation experience with Python, Bash, APIs, Jira, or similar tools
