This role is being recruited by CoffeeSpace on behalf of an anonymous AI startup building AI Agents for customer experience, GTM, and operations teams.

We’re identifying a small number of exceptional design engineers from our network. If there’s a strong fit, we’ll introduce you directly to the founding team.

Compensation: $175K - $230K base + competitive equity

About the role

You will be a key player in driving design systems from product to brand. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will shape the company's new docs and CMS product, defining its look, feel, and behavior across all user touchpoints. This role involves solving novel user interaction and design challenges and establishing systems and processes for scalable, high-quality design.

What You’ll Do

• Own product design end-to-end, crafting experiences for developers and teams to create and collaborate on content.
• Create engaging content for social media, landing pages, and video, telling compelling stories about the product.
• Establish a cohesive visual language and brand, from typography to microinteractions.
• Develop a design system that supports engineers and AI systems, ensuring consistency across all product and marketing surfaces.
• Engage with users to champion their needs and identify opportunities to solve real problems.

The Ideal Candidate

• 5+ years of experience in design and front-end engineering roles.
• Proficiency with Figma, HTML/CSS, React, Next.js, Storybook, Tailwind, and Shadcn.
• Strong ability to translate visual language into practical design systems.
• Passionate about design excellence and user experience.
