Job Title: Sr. Innovation Design Engineer/Product Development Engineer Location: Waterloo, Iowa (Onsite) - Relocation Package Available Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 Per Year Employment Type: Direct Hire Job Summary: New Heights Career Services, on behalf of our client, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Innovation Design Engineer to join their team in Waterloo, Iowa. As a Senior Innovation Design Engineer, you will be responsible for executing new product project activities and completing tasks in coordination with the APQP Engineering/Innovation Manager. This role requires a combination of electrical and mechanical engineering expertise to develop electromechanical concepts for future product platforms. Job Responsibilities: Support and complete program and project deliverables to fulfill customer and/or company product development goals. Perform mechanical engineering analysis to support existing products and develop new concepts to improve functionality, reduce costs, and increase performance. Brainstorm and support innovative new product designs, combining new and existing technologies into future marketable products. Support research of marketing, technical, economic, and manufacturing feasibility for new product ideas. Collaborate with sales and customers to determine key elements of projects. Complete design layouts, BOM, and drawing content for products recently released. Education & Experience: Proficient in computer applications necessary for job functions. Experience with Creo/Windchill software. Understanding of Inertial Calculations, Tolerance Analysis, Spring Analysis, and Mechanics of Materials. Basic understanding of GD&T application, reliability/confidence levels, and APQP processes. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in product design/engineering. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
