Job Title: Die Repair Journeyperson Location: Twinsburg, OH Type: Permanent, Full-Time Industry: Automotive Summary We are seeking a Die Repair Journeyperson for a full-time role in Twinsburg, OH. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing, rebuilding, and maintaining casting and trim dies according to original specifications. Candidates with Tool & Die Repair Journeyman Papers are highly preferred. This role involves working with various machines and tools, handling welding duties, troubleshooting production tooling problems, and training new employees. Responsibilities Repair, rebuild, and maintain casting and trim dies in line with original specifications. Operate machinery and equipment, including lift trucks, die cleaning equipment, and cranes. Disassemble, repair, clean, and reassemble dies; replace segments, cores, and details from blueprints. Polish or grind die cavity surfaces using appropriate tools. Perform in-situ repairs, troubleshoot dimensional problems, and remove stuck castings during production. Carry out welding tasks in the foundry and Die Repair Department. Complete die work orders and maintain records. Keep the work area clean and safe. Train and mentor new employees. Perform additional duties to ensure the efficient operation of the tool and die repair department. Experience Minimum 2 years of experience in die repair, rebuilding, or maintenance. Experience with welding and working from blueprints. Must hold Tool & Die Repair Journeyman Papers or complete 2 years of on-the-job training to meet this requirement. Proficiency in polishing and grinding die cavity surfaces. Ability to build and replace parts using blueprints. Strong troubleshooting skills for production tooling issues. Associate’s Degree, trade school certification, or journey person certificate required. Ability to solve complex problems and perform highly skilled tasks.
