Diplomacy Team

(ENG) The Team You're Joining SFOC's Diplomacy Team was established in 2021 to strengthen Korea's role in international climate cooperation, and has since expanded its focus to include Japan. The team is organized into two Units – Energy and Industry – and engages with global partners, institutions, and networks to share timely insights on Korea's and Japan's climate and energy policies, and analyzes international developments to inform SFOC's broader program work. How You'll Contribute Collaborate closely with SFOC's internal program and network teams Monitor and analyze developments in renewable energy deployment, electricity markets, power systems, energy security, and international climate policy Track key international governance processes, including the G20, COP, UNFCCC, IRENA, OECD, IMO, and other relevant regional forums Produce high-quality briefing notes, policy memos, meeting summaries, stakeholder profiles, and strategic analyses Support the planning and execution of seminars, meetings, and events aligned with program strategies Who We're Looking For Fluency in both Korean and English, with the ability to draft documents, lead meetings, and communicate effectively in professional settings in the relevant languages 2–5 years of relevant work experience, ideally with government agencies, embassies, think tanks, or similar organizations (candidates with other relevant backgrounds are also welcome) Proven ability to independently manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex policy issues and identify opportunities for influence Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills Strong writing and presentation skills Nice to Have Working knowledge of power systems, renewable energy deployment, electricity markets, or industrial decarbonization Direct engagement with international climate and energy governance processes Experience building and maintaining professional networks in the climate, energy, diplomacy, or public policy fields Experience developing materials for senior policymakers, diplomatic missions or international organizations Please Read Carefully Please submit your CV and cover letter in Korean or English, in PDF format.
