Our client, a leading global player in the semiconductor ecosystem, is hiring a senior technical leader to drive chamber product development for its advanced semiconductor equipment in Singapore.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You’ll own chamber technology from concept through to new product introduction (NPI) and manufacturing readiness, and work closely with customers to solve their highest-value process challenges.
What you’ll do
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of 10+ engineers, mainly through engineering managers, across chamber design, process development, systems engineering, controls and integration
- Own the chamber technology roadmap, product architecture, risk retirement plans and development milestones
- Drive programmes end-to-end against performance, schedule, cost, quality and reliability targets
- Act as the technical authority on chamber hardware, process performance, plasma and chemical interactions, materials compatibility, defectivity, cleanliness and manufacturability
- Lead customer escalations, covering containment, root-cause analysis, corrective actions and long-term product improvements
- Represent the technology team in customer engagements, technical reviews and executive reviews
- Partner with product management, manufacturing, supply chain and service teams to deliver customer-focused solutions
What you’ll bring
- A degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or a related field. A Master’s or PhD is preferred
- Significant experience leading semiconductor equipment, process module or chamber development programmes
- A strong plasma process background, in etch or wet clean. Post-CMP clean experience is a plus
- Hands-on depth in some of: chamber architecture, RF/plasma systems, gas or chemical delivery, fluidics, vacuum, temperature control and contamination control
- A solid grasp of the product development lifecycle: feasibility, design validation, process integration, NPI, reliability and manufacturing readiness
- A track record of resolving customer issues around yield, defectivity, productivity, cost of ownership, process window or reliability
- Experience leading teams and influencing executive, customer and engineering stakeholders in a global, matrixed organisation
Location and package
This role is based in Singapore. Relocation support is available for overseas candidates (relocation allowance, temporary accommodation and shipment support). Please note it’s a local package, not a full expat package.
