About Mammoth Brands

Mammoth Brands (formerly Harry’s Inc.) is the modern CPG company behind brands Harry’s, Flamingo, Lume, Mando, and Coterie. We’re building a new model—and home—brands, founders, and talent looking to solve unmet needs, improve peoples’ lives, and ultimately challenge the status quo. Our mission is to “Create Things People Like More.” Simply put: everything we do should be better than what already exists. If it’s not, we don’t do it. This guides everything we do, from developing the best product experiences, to making Mammoth Brands a great place to work, to exploring innovative ways to give back to our community.

We got our start in 2013 when our co-founders created Harry's. They built the brand differently—online first, prioritizing direct relationships with customers—and in the process learned they’d created something bigger: a playbook and platform that could help other brands grow and scale to their full potential, and a vision to reimagine consumer packaged goods. Today, Mammoth Brands is a growing portfolio of brands and the largest CPG company built in the last 20 years. Even as we grow, we take extra care to maintain the small, scrappy, entrepreneurial culture that helped to get us where we are today: to create a company that people like more, that better serves its customers, employees, and community. As a company, we’re also committed to making a positive impact and have donated over $20 million through our network of nonprofit partners to date.

We build brands that move fast and think big — and we hire people who are curious about AI, willing to experiment with it in their day-to-day work, and excited to accelerate what's possible. We prioritize giving our team the tools, training, and space to build real fluency, so you grow alongside the technology and help shape how we use it.

About the team

Flamingo is a women’s grooming brand with a point of view, and our brand and marketing team is where that point of view comes to life. We’re a small, creative group that moves fast, sweats the details, and cares as much about how Flamingo feels as how it looks. You’ll work alongside teammates who will push your ideas further and cheer when they land, and you’ll have real ownership from day one.

About the Role

The brands people love are the ones people can’t stop talking about. As our Director of Brand Communications & Community, you’ll build Flamingo’s awareness, engagement, conversation, and advocacy. You’ll own the strategy for influencer, ambassador programming, and PR, and lead the team that brings it to life across social and community.

This is a brand-building role. You’ll build relationships with the talent, agencies, and partners who shape how Flamingo is seen, work hand in hand with PR on the stories we tell, and create the programs and moments that turn fans into advocates.

You will work closely with the Head of Flamingo to align on overall brand and business goals, and how to create impactful buzz online and offline. You will manage a team that covers social media management, influencer marketing, and community.

What you will accomplish

  • Set the strategy that builds awareness, engagement, conversation, and advocacy for Flamingo across influencer, ambassador, PR, social, and community
  • Lead influencer strategy, deciding who we partner with and why, and negotiate with talent and their agencies, including celebrity talent
  • Build an ambassador program that turns our most passionate fans and advocates into lasting champions of the brand
  • Partner with PR on narratives, calendars, campaigns, and gifting strategy so press, influencer, and community moments reinforce each other
  • Establish community engagement through events and campaigns that bring fans, ambassadors, and influential voices together
  • Guide content and social with our creative team so Flamingo’s voice and storytelling stay distinct everywhere we show up
  • Own relationships with PR, production houses, creative agencies, and talent, and manage the budgets behind them
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team across influencer marketing, social media, and community
  • Define how we measure what’s working, from conversation and sentiment to brand impact, and use it to sharpen the strategy

This should describe you

  • A brand builder who understands what makes people talk about a brand, and how to turn that into relationships, programs, and moments
  • A relationship-driven strategist with deep ties to talent, agents, and PR, and confident negotiating with all of them
  • A people leader who sets a clear vision, develops talent, and builds a team that learns and evolves together
  • A creative storyteller who can shape a narrative with PR and guide great content without needing to make everything yourself
  • Culturally fluent, with a sharp instinct for who and what is rising
  • Commercially minded, comfortable owning budgets and using data to make the case for what works

Here’s who you’ll work with

  • Reporting to the Head of Flamingo
  • Leading the Flamingo content and community team, including influencer marketing, social media, and community
  • Working cross-functionally with creative, digital, retail, and in close partnership with the creator lead on our Growth team

Benefits and perks

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401k match
  • Equity in Mammoth Brands
  • Flexible time off and working hours
  • L&D stipend
  • 4 weeks sabbatical after 5 years, 6 weeks after 10 years, and 8 weeks after 15 years
  • 20 fully paid weeks off for parents who give birth, or 16 fully paid weeks off for all other paths to parenthood
  • Fun IRL and virtual events including happy hours, team building events, and parties on our rooftop
  • Free products from our family of brands

The Mammoth Brands' working model is in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Our beautiful 70,000 square foot SoHo office is decked out with bagels on Wednesdays and lunch on Thursdays, and fully stocked kitchens with snacks, coffee, and drinks everyday. Can’t forget the free products and the opportunity to have some meetings without Zoom!

We can’t quantify all of the intangible things we think you’ll love about working at Mammoth Brands, like the exciting challenges we tackle, the smart and humble team you’ll get to work with, and our supportive and inclusive culture. That said, our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of our total rewards package, which also includes a comprehensive set of benefits and our equity program. The base salary hiring range for this position is $200,000-$225,000, but the final compensation offer will ultimately be based on the candidate’s location, skill level and experience.
