About the Role
Arturo Palomba Gallery LLC is seeking an experienced Director of Cultural Sponsorships & Fundraising to lead the development of sponsorship, patronage and funding opportunities for exhibitions, cultural programmes and international artistic projects.
The successful candidate will build relationships with corporations, foundations, family offices, private patrons and institutional stakeholders, creating long-term funding partnerships that support the Gallery's cultural growth and international activities.
This is a senior leadership position combining fundraising strategy, sponsorship development, executive relationship management and cultural business development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the Gallery's sponsorship and fundraising strategy.
- Identify and approach corporate sponsors, foundations, patrons and funding partners.
- Build long-term relationships with senior corporate and institutional decision-makers.
- Develop compelling sponsorship proposals and partnership packages.
- Secure financial and in-kind support for exhibitions and cultural projects.
- Develop patron and donor programmes.
- Identify relevant grants and institutional funding opportunities.
- Negotiate sponsorship agreements and commercial terms.
- Create tailored opportunities for corporate partners around exhibitions, events and cultural programmes.
- Manage relationships with sponsors throughout the entire project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with Gallery management, artists and project teams.
- Represent the Gallery at cultural, philanthropic and business events.
- Develop sponsorship opportunities across the UAE, GCC and international markets.
- Monitor fundraising performance and report results to senior management.

Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Proven experience in sponsorship, fundraising, philanthropy or institutional development
- Demonstrable success developing high-value partnerships
- Strong executive network and relationship-building capabilities
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
- Commercial awareness combined with an understanding of cultural organisations
- Professional working proficiency in English
- Arabic is an advantage but not required
- Availability to work full-time in Abu Dhabi and travel internationally
