About the Role
Lead multiple product engineering squads at a growth-stage K-12 education technology company building tools for school scheduling. You will guide the product engineering organization, contributing hands-on while helping teams deliver reliable, scalable features for educators and students.
What You'll Do
Lead multiple product squads, managing engineers and driving delivery across scheduling, reporting, and elementary school product areas.
Contribute code, review work, and pair with engineers while setting a direction that shifts toward greater leadership over time.
Make technical architecture decisions to support a robust and scalable platform.
Work with Product, customer success, and other partners to set squad goals and align engineering priorities with business outcomes.
Deliver high-value features, including advances in AI-powered capabilities, in time for the school scheduling cycle.
What We're Looking For
At least 5 years of engineering experience and 2 to 3 or more years managing multiple engineering teams, ideally including teams of 6 or more engineers.
Experience scaling teams and, ideally, managing engineering managers.
Hands-on technical ability, including code reading, review, and development, with strong backend architecture experience.
Experience with React, TypeScript, Python, AWS, and MongoDB, or the ability to ramp up on a new stack.
Experience in a startup or high-growth environment, with strong prioritization, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Background in optimization or scheduling domains, such as ride-hailing, e-commerce, or shipping logistics, and a mathematics or electrical engineering background.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation is $210,000 to $240,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
