Our Mission: Quality, compassionate care for all.

Our Vision: Reimagine health care through connection, service and innovation.

Our Core Values: Be Kind | Trust and Be Trusted | Work Together | Strive for Excellence.

Logan Health Cut Bank seeks an experienced RN leader to direct nursing services in our 20-bed critical access hospital, including inpatient acute care and emergency services. This is a hospital nursing leadership position, not a long-term care Director of Nursing role.

For a nursing leader who values close working relationships, broad responsibility, and the opportunity to influence care across a hospital, this role offers a meaningful next step!

Annual Salary Range:
$115,960 – $159,640
Salary placement within the range is based on relevant leadership experience, qualifications, internal equity, and other applicable factors. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance may be available for highly qualified candidates.

What you will do:

As a member of the Executive Management Team, you’ll help shape hospital priorities while leading nursing operations, developing staff, and advancing quality patient care. You’ll work closely with hospital leadership and medical staff, with opportunities to see your decisions make a difference for your nurses, patients, and the communities you serve.

  • Lead nursing operations for inpatient acute care and emergency services, supporting safe, effective, patient-centered care.
  • Coach and develop nursing staff, strengthen employee engagement, and support recruitment and retention.
  • Guide nursing goals, quality improvement, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage nursing budgets and contribute to strategic planning and operational decisions.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, medical staff, and community partners.
  • Provide clinical support, including assisting with shift coverage or changes in patient census when needed.

Experience you will bring:

  • A current Montana RN license or a multistate compact license authorizing practice in Montana.
  • At least five years of leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of critical access hospitals and rural health care delivery.
  • Strong communication, clinical judgment, and the ability to lead through changing priorities.
  • A bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred.

A background in inpatient acute care, emergency nursing, or critical access hospital leadership would be especially valuable in this role.

Required certifications include:

  • RQI Provider/BLS within seven days of hire or transfer, or before independent patient care, whichever comes first
  • TNCC or ENPC, STABLE, and NRP within 12 months of hire.

Build your career in rural Montana

Cut Bank offers a distinctly rural lifestyle in north-central Montana, with open landscapes, a small-town setting, and opportunities to explore the Rocky Mountain Front and Glacier National Park region.

This opportunity may be especially appealing if you’re looking to return to rural roots, establish yourself in a smaller community, or bring your nursing leadership experience to a hospital where local access to care matters every day.

Rural hospital leadership calls for flexibility, resourcefulness, and strong relationships.

If you value a voice in patient care and a life rooted in community, this opportunity is for you!

Shift:

Day Shift - 8 Hours (United States of America)

Includes working flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays when necessary. This position requires attendance of meetings and educational classes for the purpose of staff reviews, unit staff meetings and quality improvement or clinical case review(s), required education, and certification courses.
