Director of Sports

We are looking for a Director of Sports for an International School based in Shanghai. This is a full-time position starting from August 2025 academic year. About the school Located in Minhang District, this bilingual boarding school for children aged 6-18 merges the Chinese national curriculum with the International Baccalaureate. Its university-style campus offers education in Mandarin and English, integrating Chinese and international teaching methods. Job responsibilities Develop and manage a comprehensive sports program aligned with the schools mission Introduce new sports and ensure inclusivity and high standards Recruit, train, and supervise coaching staff Foster a positive sports culture promoting teamwork and growth Monitor academic and athletic progress, offering guidance and support Conduct evaluations and provide professional development Organize and oversee inter-school, regional, and international sports events Manage sports facilities, equipment, and budget efficiently Build relationships with parents, alumni, and the community Represent the school at sports-related events and meetings Collaborate on infrastructure improvements Ensure safety and compliance during all activities Requirements Qualified Teacher status with 3-5 years of teaching experience Knowledge of world-class science curriculums, including UK and International, and their assessment methods Proficiency in addressing individual needs through differentiated instruction and diverse learning strategies Experience in sports administration, coaching, or a related role, preferably in an international school setting.
