Job description:
EBS is hiring an IT-minded specialist in our Business Bay, Dubai office to onboard clients onto e-invoicing, from first kickoff to their first live invoice.
About the role
The UAE is moving all B2B and B2G invoicing onto a mandatory e-invoicing system. It runs on the Peppol network (PINT AE standard) in a five-corner model, with invoices sent through Accredited Service Providers (ASPs) and reported to the Federal Tax Authority.
You will be the technical point of contact who gets our clients connected and compliant. You will connect their ERP or accounting systems, map their invoice data, run testing, and support them through go-live. This role suits someone who enjoys solving technical problems and explaining them clearly to finance teams.
Key responsibilities
Client onboarding
- Lead onboarding for new e-invoicing clients: kickoff, requirements gathering, setup, testing and go-live.
- Assess each client's current invoicing process, ERP/accounting system and data quality, and document gaps.
- Register and configure clients on the e-invoicing platform, including Peppol participant setup.
- Train client finance and IT users through workshops, demos and written guides.
Technical integration
- Connect client systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, Zoho, Tally, QuickBooks) via API, SFTP or file upload.
- Map client invoice data to the UAE e-invoice format (XML / UBL, PINT AE) and validate required fields such as TRN, VAT and item classifications.
- Run end-to-end test cycles, read validation errors, and fix rejected invoices and credit notes.
- Work with our product and development teams on integration issues and feature requests.
Support and compliance
- Provide first- and second-line technical support after go-live.
- Track each onboarding in the CRM and keep timelines, status and handover notes up to date.
- Keep up with Ministry of Finance and FTA e-invoicing updates and share what changes for clients.
- Help build onboarding playbooks, FAQs and templates so new clients go live faster.
Requirements
- A degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 1–3 years in IT support, implementation, onboarding or a similar technical role.
- Some experience with APIs, XML or data files (Excel, CSV), and willingness to learn more.
- Basic understanding of how ERP or accounting systems handle invoices.
- Good communication skills and patience when helping non-technical users.
- Organised, reliable and comfortable juggling a few clients at once.
- Good English, written and spoken.
- Based in the UAE or willing to relocate to Dubai.
Nice to have
- Experience with e-invoicing or tax technology projects (UAE, KSA ZATCA/FATOORA, or Peppol in Europe/Asia).
- Familiarity with UBL, Peppol BIS/PINT, or the FTA's EmaraTax portal.
- Understanding of UAE VAT basics: tax invoices, credit notes, TRNs.
- Experience with integration tools or middleware (e.g. Postman, Boomi, MuleSoft).
- Arabic language skills.
- Valid UAE driving licence for client visits.
What we offer
- Competitive tax-free salary: upto AED 5,000.
- UAE employment visa, medical insurance and annual flight ticket.
- 30 calendar days' annual leave, in line with UAE Labour Law.
- A front-row role in one of the biggest compliance changes in UAE business.
