Building on this legacy of quality and parental trust, Maple Bloom opened its first pre-school in Tanzania in 2020. Located in the Masaki district of Dar es Salaam, Maple Bloom Elementary is a purpose-built campus offering a British-style education in a nurturing, child-centred environment. As a Pearson Edexcel approved centre, the school delivers the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) and International Primary Curriculum (IPC), providing children with a world-class foundation for lifelong learning. The Role - Deliver play-based, child-led learning : Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons and activities that align with the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC), nurturing curiosity, confidence, and creativity. - Create a nurturing classroom environment : Foster a safe, inclusive, and joyful space where young children feel valued and supported, laying the foundation for positive lifelong learning habits. - Support individual growth : Use observational assessment and tailored instruction to meet each childs developmental needs, including those requiring additional support or enrichment. - Work collaboratively with support staff : Partner closely with a full-time Teaching Assistant to deliver differentiated learning experiences and ensure children receive high levels of care and engagement. - Engage families in learning : Maintain strong, proactive communication with parents through daily updates, parent conferences, and regular reports to build trust and partnership. - Contribute to the wider school culture : Participate in school events, outdoor learning initiatives, community activities, and the broader life of the school, helping to enrich every child's experience. Requirements Early Years or Primary teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed, QTS, EYTS, or equivalent). Minimum 2 years of relevant early years classroom experience. Native or fluent English speaker. Strong understanding of child development and play-based learning approaches. Experience with IEYC or similar international early years frameworks is an advantage. Salary & Benefits Competitive international salary $2500 - $3000 gross/month Flights or relocation allowance. Medical insurance. Accommodation allowance.
