The position offers four 10-hour shifts per week, compensation ranging from $36.55–$49.71 per hour, potential sign-on and relocation incentives, and opportunities to expand clinical expertise through advanced imaging, interdisciplinary collaboration, and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive adult and pediatric transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE), including 2-D and M-mode imaging, according to established laboratory protocols.

- Perform exercise and pharmacological stress echocardiography according to adult and pediatric laboratory protocols.
- Operate echocardiography equipment and assist physicians during transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) procedures.
- Perform appropriate cleaning, disinfection, and maintenance of TEE probes according to laboratory policies and manufacturer recommendations.
- Assess the need for ultrasound contrast agents and assist nursing staff with preparation and administration according to approved protocols.

- Maintain accurate measurements, examination documentation, technical reports, and daily patient logs.
- Enter, update, and manage patient orders and document clinical activities using CareNet.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate diagnostic testing and patient care.
- Participate in departmental performance improvement (PI) activities, including data collection, quality monitoring, and regular case reviews.
- Support laboratory compliance with applicable echocardiography accreditation standards, including ICAEL/IAC requirements.
- Maintain required continuing medical education and professional competencies through training, educational programs, and conferences.
- Assist with orientation and training of new sonographers and support non-registered staff preparing for credentialing examinations.
- Maintain appropriate infection prevention standards, equipment cleanliness, and safe patient care environments.
- Monitor and document high-level disinfectant solution checks and changes according to departmental policies.
- Maintain accurate patient records, imaging archives, and examination documentation in accordance with organizational standards.
