Job Description

As the EHSS Intern, you will be responsible for completing a wide range of environmental, health, safety, emergency response and security tasks under the supervision of GF Health, Safety & Environment staff. The individual in this role will work cross functionally across the business which includes operators, maintenance, plant leadership, and corporate support personnel.

Pay Rate: $27.50

Assist with EHS record keeping
Developing and delivering EHS training
Participating in emergency drills
Perform routine safety and environmental inspections
Labeling waste containers for disposal
Maintenance and updating of JHA program
Participating in learning team investigations
Performing equipment calibrations

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?

Pursuing a B.S. or M.S. degree in Safety Studies, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry or another related field
Must have completed at least their sophomore year of university study.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
Ability to set priorities and demonstrate strong attention to detail
Highly motivated and eager to learn
Strong computer skills
Willingness to work nights, weekends, and/or overtime as required to complete specific projects
