Electrical / Alpha / Diesel Automotive Technician Job Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair advanced electrical, drivability, and performance concerns

• Perform complex diagnostics on diesel engines, fuel systems, emissions systems, and after-treatment components

• Troubleshoot CAN bus, communication, wiring, module, and network-related issues

• Utilize factory scan tools, diagnostic software, and testing equipment to identify root causes efficiently

• Complete repair orders accurately while maintaining manufacturer standards

• Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, and Fiat vehicles

• Assist with difficult diagnostic cases and support fellow technicians when needed

• Stay current on manufacturer service information, technical service bulletins, and emerging technologies

• Maintain productivity while delivering quality repairs the first time

Electrical / Alpha / Diesel Automotive Technician Compensation and Benefits

Flat-Rate Pay – the pay rate depends on certifications and experience but ranges from $30 - $45/hour for Technicians.

• $40 - $75 per hour with an Apprentice!

Qualifications

Electrical / Alpha / Diesel Automotive Technician Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Certified Technician

• ASE Certifications

• Valid Driver’s License

• Personal Tools

Corporate Hiring Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
