Their work spans growth sectors such as data centres, life sciences, industrial manufacturing and power. With a strong pipeline of work for the next 5+ years, they are known for an innovative, collaborative and performance-focused culture, and for developing their people. As their Nordics business grows, they are looking for Electrical Engineers, from intermediate to senior level, to join project teams on major projects in the region.

About the Role

You will own the electrical engineering cycle from design review through to commissioning, making sure what is installed on site matches the design and that the design works. You will report to the Project Manager or Electrical Engineering Lead and work closely with BIM, design teams, the supply chain, specialist vendors and site supervisors to deliver fully tested and commissioned systems.

Responsibilities

  • Review electrical designs and flag gaps and coordination issues early.
  • Validate cable sizing and make technical recommendations.
  • Drive technical submittals through the approval process.
  • Track procurement and verify that deliveries match what was ordered.
  • Keep supply chain progress aligned with the construction programme.
  • Work with the BIM team to ensure the installation is coordinated and buildable.
  • Coordinate with design teams and vendors so systems operate as intended.
  • Carry out electrical walk-downs to confirm compliance.
  • Prepare test packs and O&M documentation, and get them approved.
  • Manage specialist vendors during testing and commissioning.
  • Deliver client training where required.
  • Ensure all activities comply with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering, or equivalent.

Required Skills

  • Electrical engineering experience on major construction projects.
  • A strong understanding of HV/LV electrical systems, installation and commissioning.
  • Experience managing technical submittals, test packs and O&M documentation.
  • The ability to keep many technical threads moving at once.
  • Clear communication skills, from Project Managers to vendors and clients.
  • Willingness to work on site in the Nordics region.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience on data centre, life sciences, industrial or power projects.
  • Knowledge of critical power systems such as UPS, switchgear, transformers and generators.
  • Experience on international projects in Scandinavia or mainland Europe.
  • An EU, UK or Irish passport.

Pay range and compensation package

  • Salary: Negotiable.
  • Benefits: Competitive package with relocation and travel support.
  • Negotiable salary, dependent on experience.
  • Permanent position with a considerable portfolio of work for the next 5+ years.
  • Relocation and travel support for those moving to the Nordics.

About the Company

Mentoring from senior engineers, with a route to Package Manager and Project Manager. Clear progression routes within a growing international business. The chance to work on large, high-profile projects across Europe.
