As an Electrical Engineer at our client - a world leader in the development of automated sorting and packing lines - you will develop the electrical hardware for complex machines, from initial concept to detailed design. You will bring proven Eplan expertise and practical machine development experience to translate technical requirements into reliable designs, with a focus on modularity, standardisation and reuse.
Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
About the role
This role focuses on electrical hardware development for machines. You will turn functional requirements into electrical concepts, select suitable components and develop detailed schematics and engineering documentation in Eplan.
You will consider how electrical designs can support modular machine configurations, creating solutions that can be reused and adapted across different systems. Working closely with mechanical and software engineers, you will ensure that the electrical hardware integrates effectively with the overall machine design.
Alongside developing new designs, you will improve existing solutions, resolve technical issues and contribute to consistent engineering standards.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop electrical hardware designs for machines, from concept and component selection through to detailed engineering.
- Create and maintain electrical schematics and technical documentation in Eplan.
- Translate functional and machine requirements into practical electrical designs.
- Develop reusable electrical modules and contribute to standardisation across machine configurations.
- Select and specify components, including sensors, drives, control hardware and safety equipment.
- Coordinate electrical interfaces with mechanical and software engineers.
- Ensure designs meet applicable electrical safety standards and quality requirements.
- Support assembly, testing and validation by resolving electrical design issues.
- Maintain accurate design documentation and manage engineering changes throughout development.
Your profile
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation or a related field.
- At least three years of hands-on electrical hardware engineering experience in machine development, covering both concept development and detailed design.
- Proven Eplan expertise, with the ability to independently create complete, structured electrical designs.
- Experience designing modular machine systems and reusable electrical solutions is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical components, machine control hardware and relevant industrial standards.
- Experience with Windchill is an advantage.
- Ability to translate functional requirements into technically sound and practical designs.
- A structured, accurate and solution-oriented approach to engineering.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with mechanical and software engineers.
- Fluency in English.
- Willingness to learn Dutch; existing Dutch language skills are not required.
What we offer
- A competitive salary between € 4.000 and € 5.500, based on experience.
- The opportunity to contribute to machine development at MOBA, from concept to detailed electrical design.
- An informal working atmosphere with short communication lines.
- A pension scheme with a 15.9% employer contribution.
- 40 days of annual leave.
- 8% holiday allowance.
- Professional development opportunities and career support.
- Full relocation support for international candidates.
