Join our Team as a Electrical Engineering Technician!

The Role:

Join our team as an Electrical Engineering Technician and put your electrical expertise to work supporting the development, integration, and testing of electric forklift systems and components.

In this hands-on role, you'll build and troubleshoot electrical harnesses, assemblies, and test fixtures while working with electrical schematics, diagnostic equipment, and prototype systems. You'll collaborate with engineering teams to solve technical challenges, support testing, and keep projects moving in an environment where priorities can shift and no two days are exactly alike.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Read, interpret, and create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and component layouts for test fixtures and equipment.
  • Fabricate, assemble, and repair electrical wiring harnesses, power harnesses, panels, and test fixtures using proper crimping, soldering, wire routing, and assembly techniques.
  • Operate electrical test equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, current clamps, thermocouple loggers, strain gauges, and voltage/current data loggers.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems on electric forklifts, test fixtures, and prototype equipment using standard and specialized diagnostic tools.
  • Support electrical system integration by installing, calibrating, and testing motor controllers, vehicle wiring harnesses, sensors, and other electrical components.
  • Build and support test stands and fixtures used for electrical system integration and testing.
  • Document testing, troubleshooting, and integration activities using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and PTC Creo Schematics.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, tools, workbenches, and soldering stations in accordance with 5S practices and applicable safety standards.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Associate degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology or a related field, or at least two years of equivalent hands-on electrical/electronic experience.
  • Hands-on electrical harness and panel fabrication skills, including wire preparation, crimping, soldering, and assembly.
  • Practical understanding of low-voltage DC electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, harness drawings, assembly prints, connector pinouts, PCB/PCA drawings, and component datasheets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including fluency in English.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.

What Sets You Apart:

  • Familiarity with electric forklift electrical systems or similar electric vehicle technologies.
  • Exposure to C, C++, Python, or similar programming languages, including scripting, embedded systems, or test automation.
  • Understanding of communication protocols and interfaces such as CANopen, RS-232, RS-485, and Ethernet.
  • Familiarity with electrical and manufacturing standards, including IPC/WHMA-A-620, UL 583, UL 758, UL 62, NFPA 70/NEC, and NFPA 79.

Where and When You’ll Work:

  • This is an in-person role located at our Greene, NY site —ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.

What Your Total Compensation & Benefits Package will look like:

Wage - $27.52 - $40.33 per hour. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience.

Relocation: This role may be eligible for relocation assistance.

World Class Benefits:
