PRS Recruitment Services is partnering with a major US-headquartered hyperscale data centre organisation undertaking significant expansion across Europe, with plans to develop over 1GW of additional data center capacity over the next 3–5 years.

We are seeking technically capable Critical Operations Technicians to join an in-house engineering team at a state-of-the-art data center facility in Groningen / Eemshaven, Northern Netherlands.

The Opportunity

You will play a hands-on role in maintaining the electrical, mechanical and cooling infrastructure essential to continuous data center operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Planned preventative and reactive maintenance of critical M&E plant.
• Maintenance and fault-finding across UPS, generators and electrical distribution systems.
• HVAC, cooling and environmental control systems maintenance.
• Electrical LV/HV operations and switching, where authorised.
• Fault diagnosis, repairs and root-cause investigation.
• Working in accordance with strict engineering safety procedures and operational standards.
• Supporting continuous improvement and maintaining excellent equipment availability.

Your Background

We are interested in engineers with experience in one or more of the following:

• Data centres and critical facilities.
• Electrical and mechanical building services.
• HVAC and industrial cooling systems.
• Power generation and emergency power systems.
• Pharmaceutical, manufacturing and other high-availability environments.

You should possess relevant engineering qualifications, practical maintenance and fault-finding experience, a strong safety mindset and the ability to work effectively within a rotating shift team.

Previous data center or critical services experience is desirable, but engineers from other critical environments with relevant transferable skills are encouraged to apply.

• basic salary, depending on experience.

Estimated overall earning potential ranges subject to the levels of expereince from : €70,000–€85,000+, depending on experience and applicable package components.
