Join an innovative bilingual education project and help shape the future of elementary education in Japan.
Seibu Gakuen Bunri is a private Japanese school building a new bilingual education model in the Greater Tokyo area and seeking like-minded professionals who share our vision to join the Elementary School for the start of the new school year, in April 2027.
The initiative is led by Principal Pedro Marques, one of the few foreign principals in Japan, who is driving an ambitious bilingual education reform. The bilingual teaching provided means classes are taught in pairs, with Japanese teachers and English-speaking teachers working hand in hand in the classroom, teaching a same subject together.
Desired Candidate
- Proficient in English at native/near-native professional level
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Expertise in one of the advertised subject areas
- Teaching licence preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to work collaboratively in a co-teaching environment

Working Conditions & Benefits
- Full-time position

- On-site teaching Monday to Friday 8:00-16:30 and Saturday 8:00-13:15

We welcome applications from educators or subject matter experts currently living in Japan as well as candidates overseas who are interested in contributing to the future of bilingual education. Japanese language ability is not required, as teachers work alongside Japanese colleagues in a collaborative co-teaching environment.
