Responsibilities Triage, assess, and treat emergency patients of all ages using critical thinking and clinical expertise in fast-paced environment. Manage multiple cases simultaneously providing general nursing care and prioritizing needs based on acuity levels across the unit. Act in composed and professional manner, especially under pressure during emergent and critical situations. Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team to coordinate effective follow-up plans of care and necessary referrals. Document patient care effectively, succinctly, and timely according to organizational policy and regulatory standards. Coordinate functions with physicians and other hospital departments while remaining patient-focused and safety-aware at all times. Provide nursing interventions for conditions ranging from minor injuries to life-threatening emergencies across all age groups. Demonstrate competency in emergency procedures including cardiac monitoring, trauma care, and critical interventions. Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and maintain current knowledge of emergency nursing best practices. Support team members and contribute to collaborative, family-oriented unit culture focused on excellence in emergency care.
