Job Description

The Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is seeking a talented EMG Physiatrist to join our faculty in Durham, North Carolina. The Division of PM&R began in March 2026 as a shared division within the Departments of Neurosurgery and Orthopaedic Surgery, and we are experiencing significant growth, clinically and academically. We are currently seeking excellent candidates with great clinical acumen to provide patients with high-quality care who also want to be part of the growth and development of this new Division of PM&R.

Candidate requirements include an MD or DO degree and completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. Candidates must be board eligible or board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and demonstrated expertise in electrodiagnostic medicine, including board certification through the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Experienced and recently trained physicians dedicated to providing compassionate patient care are encouraged to apply.

Duke represents excellence in patient care, research, and education. Our clinicians embrace a multidisciplinary, team-based approach to care, with a commitment to delivering the very best patient outcomes. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a growing PM&R division while providing specialized electrodiagnostic services to support the evaluation and management of neuromuscular conditions.
