Engineering Lead

About the Role

Lead a hands-on engineering team building an AI context platform for data analytics. You will shape the technical strategy and help create systems that make it easier to understand, debug, and improve how AI agents work with business data.

What You'll Do

• Lead the team responsible for the context platform and its technical direction.

• Review designs, guide architecture decisions, and contribute hands-on code.

• Manage and support engineers, set a high bar, and help the team do its best work.

• Recruit and develop engineering talent.

• Help improve the way agent reasoning and data flows are evaluated, debugged, and refined.

What We're Looking For

• At least 6 years of software engineering experience and 3 or more years leading and managing engineering teams.

• Experience managing teams of approximately 3 to 15 engineers and delivering technical projects.

• Recent hands-on experience building an agentic or AI-native product, ideally including AI/ML products or context platforms.

• Strong TypeScript skills, preferably with React and Postgres; comfort working in Python.

• Experience with product engineering in analytics, infrastructure, or mobile, ideally in a high-growth startup environment.

• Strong technical strategy, architecture review, hands-on coding, and engineering recruiting skills.

• Strong computer science fundamentals or equivalent technical education.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $221,000 to $295,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.

Location

Hybrid, with two days per week in the office in San Francisco or New York City. The primary location is San Francisco, California.
